The Chittagong Bar Association, widely known as the CTG Bar Association, is one of the oldest and most respected professional bodies of lawyers in Bangladesh. Located in the port city of Chattogram, it plays a vital role in the country’s legal system by supporting advocates, promoting professional ethics, and safeguarding the rights of justice seekers. As the largest bar association outside Dhaka, it has earned a reputation as a center of legal excellence and activism.
The Association provides its members with resources, facilities, and opportunities for professional development. It organizes training programs, seminars, and discussions to help lawyers enhance their legal knowledge and skills. The CTG Bar Association also works closely with the judiciary, ensuring that the legal process in Chattogram functions smoothly and efficiently.
In addition to serving lawyers, the Association actively contributes to the broader community. It engages in social welfare activities, supports access to justice for the underprivileged, and raises awareness about legal rights. Throughout history, many renowned lawyers, judges, and political leaders of Bangladesh have been associated with the CTG Bar, strengthening its legacy.
